Why didn’t Nascar Park Stewart for hitting Paul Menard not once, but 2 or 3 times after the first pit stop. I have seen them park others for less.

cause tony rocks my socks off!

It’s because he is Tony Stewart, if it would have been a less well known driver, there would have been a penalty. That’s one of the biggest problems I see with NASCAR, their inconsistency. One driver gets fined, parked, loses a lap, etc. and another gets away with no consequences. It happens time and time again.
Joanne
EXACTLY!!! If it was another driver……as in Jeff Gordon or Jimmie Johnson ,Nascar would be all over them. Not fair at all. Is Nascar officials scared of that whiney fence climber???
Deborah
Over aggressive driving = Black flag / Held on pit row one or more laps,
Dangerous driving = Parked.
When a driver is held lap(s) or other is up to Nascar. I believe Nascar only saw it as short term anger, and only those hurt were two cars.

Becaue it was Tony Stwert if it would have been any body else Nascar would have freaked out about it and then Black flagged them.
Clyde
Because Tony never gets in trouble for anything. If that were someone else they whould have gotten in trouble

Tony Stewart is an ( fill in the blank). But he is also a former 1. NASCAR Champion, 2. IRL Champion, 3. 10 points out of First in ” THE CHASE “. Come Tuesday NASCAR may fine and take points.
Marlene
Because the rules seem to be different for Stewart.

Not sure. Maybe since it didnt hurt Menards car or do any damage they left it. I think penalties might come later in the week however thats just my opinion and I think she should have been penalized during the actual race.
Victor
that is what i want to know.
Shawn
Because it is a given that Tony will act like a ****.

I am a smoke fan but he still should have received even a warning for his behavior.
I think nascar didn’t punish him for a few reasons:
1) Paul Menard did make a mistake and not pull into his pit correctly (which I thought was a rules violation itself)
2) Tony is in the running for the chase while I have never even heard of Paul menard let alone him actually running in the chase.
3) Most importantly: Tony only rubbed Paul menard 4 times and did not actually start a crash.
4) Smoke’s car wasn’t very good to start with and wasn’t any better after the incident so it may not have affected the overall finishing order except to hurt tony.
